My dog is rubbing his face on the ground and won't eat. What's wrong?

My dog keeps rubbing his face on the ground and pushing his food away when we try to feed him. This began on Monday, we gave him wet food to see if he would eat it & only ate a few bites and began doing the same pushing and rubbing of face. We thought it may of been because we spray no marking spray and he began eating after moving away from sprayed areas. He ate fine tuesday and today (wednesday) has begun the rubbing of the face and not eating. Is there a reason for this?? Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 3 days old | 20 lbs
