My dog is wobbly, falling over, and breathing strangely. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 70 lbs

My dog has been acting strange tonight. He is wobbly and unable to sit up before tipping to either side. And he is breathing weird, these deep inhales that screeech.

Vader needs to be examined by a vet. Take a look around the house and yard for any signs he may have gotten into or eaten something. These symptoms can be caused by toxicity, several medical illnesses, deep ear infections, vestibular issues, etc. The vet will do a thorough exam and probably recommend blood work or other diagnostics based on what they think is going on.
