My dog's old surgery site is swollen, lymph nodes too. Vet's unavailable, what should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 75 lbs

My dog had surgery a year ago and got infection how her area is swollen and lymph nodes are swollen my vet is not available what can I do

If your vet isn't available, call around and see if you can get her in at another veterinarian's office. If your concern was just that your vet isn't immediately available, based on what you're saying I don't think this is a dire emergency, however, you should have her evaluated in the next day or 2. If she is lethargic and/or vomiting frequently, or having any difficulty or significant change in her breathing then it IS an emergency and you should seek emergency care.     Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In this case, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment. They would be able to look at the extent of the injury so that they can proceed with therapy accordingly. It is hard to assess the severity of this with the information provided.
