Why isn't my German Shepherd puppy barking or sticking his tongue out?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 13 days old | 5.3 lbs

is their an age when puppies start to let their tongue out their mouths. cause my puppy just never lick his tongue out. is he still not comfortable with me? he just keep his mouth closed all the time. and yeah i have mever heard him bark. he do make noises for food but never barks. this is more confusing cause he's a freakin german shepherd. HE SHOULD BARK.

A dog will loll his tongue when he is hot as this helps cool him down. If he is not hot he will not stick out his tongue. Some dogs will only bark when there is something to bark about. Puppies do not bark.
