Help! My neutered cat is aggressive and won't get his nails trimmed.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 9 lbs

He already got neutered but hes becoming more aggressive, and still likes to go outside the house (still in the yard) but i got scared everytime he plays outside because there are alot of cars passingby in front of my house, and more of that, cat thief also still happening here. And he hates trimming his nails more these day, even my regular groomer cant trim his nail anymore cus he started to scratch everyone who's trying to clip his nail, it was hard before but now's harder, what should i do?

It sounds like you have a lot of things going on with Cecile. Cats can have aggression for many different reasons, with territorial or fear based aggression being the top two, but many other common causes. It can be hard to figure out what the cause is and even harder to start to reduce the aggression. Without having more information, I would recommend two things: - Pay a lot of attention to when the aggression happens and work on avoiding any triggers you can identify. - Talk with your vet about anti-anxiety medication to see if that helps with all of his issues. If you have access to a veterinary behaviorist, I would definitely recommend a consultation, but i don't know of the availability in Indonesia.
