Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 4 lbs
Recently it seems like Precious has been drinking more water than usually. However, I measured it & it seems like she’s not drinking enough. On Monday she drunk like 2.7 oz & today about 3 oz (she drunk water 10 times today). when she’s laying next to me she seems to be giving off heat. Also sometimes when she lays down I hear a whistle for a while. Or I hear her stomach “growl.” She’s playing, eating, & her pee seems normal. What could this be? I plan on taking her in in the morning. She’s 4lbs

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Precious. Based on her weight in her profile (4lbs), she should consume roughly 96ml per day assuming she has no underlying health problems. This equates to approximately 3oz. So she seems to be meeting her needs based on your measurements. It is always best to have her evaluated though if you are concerned. A first morning urine sample will assess her hydration status and her kidney function. I hope this information helps!
