Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered
Hello. I'm getting a new puppy in a week or so. He is a corso pit mix. I've done my research on the quality puppy food I plan to start him out on and then transition into a high quality dehydrated food once he matures. What I haven't been able to find is what NOT to feed him. I think someone said that this breed was prone to ear infections from chicken or something like that but I can't find anything on it. Any helpful advice on what to avoid would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think as long as you have him on a high quality commercial diet, you should be fine. I would consider feeding a large or giant breed puppy food to ensure he is getting all the vitamins and minerals e needs to grow properly. Some dogs are allergic to chicken and beef but not All of them. I think it is okay to feed these proteins unless you start seeing constant problems with his ears or chewing of the feet. Most dogs won’t show signs of food allergies until they are 1-2 years old. I hope this helps!
