A dog can start eating kibble around 5-6 weeks. You may need to mix it will some warm water and slowly transition him to eating it dry, but most GSD are more than willing to eat it as they have plenty of teeth. I would be careful ever introducing a raw diet. These can be very dangerous and I have seen many dogs get really ill from contaminated meat. Just be careful, but you could start once he is willingly eating kibble. You want the kibble to be the staple of his diet as it has all his necessary nutrients that raw meat doesn’t. I hope this helps.
