My cat has bumps on her chin. What are they and how can I treat them?

I just noticed these sores on the bottom of my cats face. What could be the cause? Is she okay? What should I do?

This is commonly known as chin acne. It can be caused by your use of plastic bowls or just an allergy (food vs environmental). Ask your vet for a prescription for medication to treat this. Typically we use a short course of steroids as well as a topical ointment. I hope that Valentine’s skin resolves soon! Best wishes and take care.
