What to do for a rescued kitten with constipation and swollen butt?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 7 lbs

Found a kitten in the cold. A few days ago. We have been taking care of it seems to be a couple months old. Yesterday it completely collapsed and was unresponsive when found on the floor. I put it in the sun and warmed the kitten up for about an hour and began putting sugar water on it’s gums and it was swallowing it. And then he came back to life and starting purring and walking around (heart never stopped ). Today the cat seems constipated. Keep cleaning butt and butthole very swollen :( ?

Poor kitten! Thank you for taking such good care of it. I suggest you take the kitten to a veterinarian for an exam to make sure all is well with it.. It will probably need worming as well. The vet can also give it an enema to resolve the constipation.
