Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 8 years and 6 months old | 20 lbs
My pug’s right eye is red and has been producing eye boogers. I’ve tried to wipe it away but it keeps coming back. There’s also a little mass on the inside of his eyelid and when I tried to dab a paper towel over it, a spot of blood came back. I’m not sure what it is or what to do...

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is concerning. This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. I highly recommend that you have Taz evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further therapy would be based on the findings. Good luck and best wishes!
