My dog is in heat and hasn't peed all day. Is this an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Shorkie | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 1 month old | 7 lbs

Hi! My dog daisy is in heat, is eating and playing, she has pooped, but hasn’t peed all day! We got her drink a lot in the past hour, but still nothing. She seems a little uncomfortable but I can’t tell if that’s cuz of her heat or cuz now she really needs to pee and can’t. Her tummy isn’t descended and lets me push on or near her bladder. So I’m not sure if this is something her heat may cause or what.

An immediate check up is required as bladder and urethral compression/obstruction is possible and uterus infection may be present. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed. This may be normal for her. I wouldn't be overly concerned unless you notice any of the following: * not eating/drinking for more than 24 hours * vaginal discharge that is green/yellow * not producing any urine for more than 24 hours Hope this helps. Best wishes.
