Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 8 days old | 6 lbs
Hi, I have a 10 week old pembroke Welsh corgi puppy. For a couple of days, she has had clear discharge from her nose and eyes, and her stool is softer than normal. She has had 2 of the 3 rounds for distemper vaccine, getting the 3rd on 12/10. I'm concerned it may be distemper just from what I've read online....any advice?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Odette. Puppies infected with the distemper virus are very ill. They can present with respiratory (cough, think nasal discharg), GI (vomiting, diarrhea) and neurological signs (unable to walk properly, seizures, etc). They are typically weak, lethargic and refusing to eat and drink. If these signs describe your puppy, then you will need to seek emergency veterinary care for her tonight. Otherwise if she is eating, drinking and acting normally, then I would have her seen on Monday. I hope this information helps!
