My dog has diarrhea, panting, and pain when touched. What should I do?

My dog has diarrhea and when I take him outside he’s been pooping for about 4 minutes straight and then we came back inside and he was laying down and I went to move him just a little and he squealed at me like I hurt him so I touched the same spot again and he started crying and trying to bite me when I’d touch him there and now he’s panting. Could he just be dehydrated?

Dehydration isn’t usually painful. It makes dogs lethargic and they don’t want to eat or drink. If he’s in hat much pain I’d be concerned about an injury, pancreatitis or an intestinal obstruction. You are correct that he’s also at risk of dehydration if he’s not eating or drinking normally. I recommend a veterinary exam soon so he can recover quickly.
