My dog has pyometra & tremors. Is surgery safe with her condition?

Hello, so my dog has Pyometra and we had a scheduled Pyometra surgery on Wednesday. But my dog has been dealing with muscle tremors for a couple years now, and the morning of her surgery she was having an episode of her muscle tremors so I called the spay clinic and they said they couldn’t do the surgery anymore. I was doing research and I think she may have CSS (Canine Stress Syndrome). And they specify on there that she can only have certain anesthesia‘s and other specifics for surgical proced

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A pyometra in theory can result in tremors due to electrolyte imbalances. Regardless, this is a much more serious condition than anything else and one that warrants therapy as soon as possible as it is a surgical emergency. I highly recommend that you have Misty evaluated by a veterinarian for surgery. They can choose the safest anesthesia protocol for her. Best of luck!
