My dog is biting her back dew claw excessively. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | 8 months and 29 days old | 11 lbs

I have 9 mth old Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is biting her back dew claw/ thumb so much that I'm worried she is going to bite it off! What do I do? Thank you

Berst take her to your vet for an exam. If it is bothering her so much that she is mutilating herself, then there is some problem with the claw. It may have to be taken off surgically or at least treated if possible. Put an e-collar on Zoe so she cannot cause infection in her hind leg.
