My pomeranian age is 4 years she's always shivering and fall off from past 4 days. I take her to the nearest veterinary hospital and the doctor said it was a TD (tardive dyskinesia) and your dog die soon.Is there any chances to save my dog..

Hello. It is very unlikely that your pet has TD. This is primarily a problem in people that have been on long term metoclopramide therapy ( Reglan ), although there is some possible connection to the use of this medication in dogs & development of TD years later. If Lucky never received Reglan, then this is not TD. There are any number of neuromuscular diseases that could cause these symptoms & this includes parasitic, bacterial & fungal encephalitidies, & even cancer. You should ask for a referral to a Veterinary Neurologist to truly determine what is causing Lucky's symptoms. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
