Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 1 day old | 6.5 lbs
I have a nine week old pug puppy that is having some apparent eye issues. I understand how many problems this breed has because of the deformities. Parts of the whites of his eyes are turning are dull greyish-brown and there is excessive tear production. It doesn’t look like he’s in pain at all, he doesn’t rub them or squint or hide from the light. He is still eating and drinking well, sleeping and playing lots, and bowl movements/urination are completely normal. Should I be worried?

Hello, thank you for your question about Rupert. Based on the symptoms you describe it is possibly that Rupert may have a viral upper respiratory infection. If Rupert is otherwise acting ok and is not rubbing/scratching at his eyes I believe that it is ok to continue to monitor him. If the symptoms do not resolve or he develops any progressive symptoms I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian. Hope this helps, he's adorable!
