My dog can't see at night. What causes dog night blindness?

Hi, I'm ahmed,My dog can't see at night and when I took it out at night it jumps over the bushes and doesn't cross any type of obstacle but at day it can do easily.how can I help my dog out? Please! Pet's info: Dog | Dogo Argentino | Male | 2 years and 6 months old

Hello. There can be a number of causes for night blindness including exposure to toxins & some drugs, primary eye disease & some heritable conditions such as PRA ( Progressive Retinal Atrophy). It is important to have a thorough eye exam done to rule out all possible retinopathies. This would include an examination of menace responses, corneal exam, fundic exam & possible electroretinogram.
