Why is my dog's rear swollen? Hemorrhoids or anal gland issues?

Hi, sorry to hear that Chimey is in pain. One thing you need to consider is that dogs don’t suffer with haemorrhoids like humans. They can have different conditions affecting the area. They can suffer with impacted anal glands and these can be treated medically up to a certain point. They can also have tumours in the same area, some are benign tumours, other malignant. I would therefore recommend that Chimey is examined by a vet in order to make the correct diagnosis and have the necessary treatment.
