Pet's info: Dog | Brittany | Male | neutered | 3 years and 8 months old | 42 lbs
12 days ago I caught my 40 lb. male Brittany (Kyler) taking a couple of bites out of a dead salmon at the river. I immediately gave him 50cc hydrogen peroxide and he barfed it up within 15 minutes. He seems fine but I still worry about salmon poisoning. Would some symptoms have showed up by now? Should I get some antibiotics and general wormer? The peroxide emptied everything out when he threw up and that's when I saw the dorsal fin area he had actually swallowed.

Clinical signs of salmon poisoning are typically seen within one week of ingesting raw fish, although longer delays have been reported. I would take a fresh sample of your dog to the vet for a fecal exam (looking for fluke eggs) in about 2 weeks. Here is some very good information on salmon "poisoning": https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/salmon-poisoning
