My dog attacks her brother. How can I stop this aggressive behavior?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 17 days old | 42 lbs

Lucy has 2 smaller brothers in the house and 1 smaller sister. She has decided to pick on one of her brothers. Half weenie and half yorkie. I have bought her every chew toy imaginable, as well as all sorts of squeak stuffed dog toys. She gets tons of exercise. But she constantly wants to drag him by his head or throw him around. I try to keep them separate most of the time. He is not the smallest. He is the youngest besides her. He is 1 1/2 years old. Please help. Thank you.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! These types of behavior can improve though this does require in person training with the help of a qualified dog trainer. I would encourage you to contact a dog trainer that can work with you and her in person to really take care of this behavior. The sooner these behaviors are dealt with, the more likely it is that you can improve and resolve them. Good luck and have a great day!
