My bottle-fed puppy won't eat or drink. What should I do now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi, I have a one month old shih tzu puppy and we bottle fed her because the mother dog doesn't always have a milk. But now she doesn't want to drink in the bottle anymore. We are a little concerned because she hasn't eat today. But she is energetic. It is our first time taking care of dogs especially a puppy so we dont know what to do.

You can try mixing puppy food with a little water or puppy milk replacer and see if she is interested in eating. Intimidated to offer the bottle. If she won’t eat or drink anything, I would recommend that you have her examined by the vet to see what could be going on.
