My guinea pig drinks a lot of water during the day. I’d say I have 2 standard water bottles in their cage because I have Boog and Archie and recently Archie has been drinking much more. Boog worried me because he’d drink half of the bottle in a day and now Archie is sort of doing that. Can that be a problem?

Thanks for reaching out about your guinea pigs. Drinking more water can be a sign of a urinary, liver or other metabolic concerns. It could also be a behavioral problems. As these guinea pigs are becoming middle aged, a veterinary visit is recommended. Diagnostics can lead to a treatment. Good luck.
