My cat missed tapeworm meds. Can I give a second dose later?

Ho I wanted to know if I can give my cat a second dose of tapeworm meds after 24 hours of the forest dose doesn't work or if she doesn't take all of it

This will depend on the type of tape worm medication. You should use only a proper tape worm medication containing praziquantel or one prescribed by your veterinarian. If your cat regurgitates the praziquantel wormer you can give her another dose the next day. If she only took part of it, give her the rest of the dose preferably 1/2 hour later.

    This would depend on the ingredients that you gave today and the ingredients in the tapeworm medication. There are a number of roundworm medications and I would not repeat a similar drug within 24hours but if the drug is a different drug class I would be less concerned. Your vets office may have a tapeworm only preparation available also. Please repost with more information on the active ingredients in the products if you would like further help
