Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 50 lbs
I have a pitbull who got pregnant by a pug on her first heat. She has lost her mucus plug and her temperature has gone between 98.0 to 100.8 for the last week. She is showing all the signs but is still active. Her belly is not very big either. Could this be a false pregnancy?

This is unlikely a false pregnancy. it is more likely that the puppies are smaller than normal pitbull puppies as the sire is small or that she just has 2 or 3 puppies. Gestation is on average 63 - 65 days, so count back to when she encountered the male and you know approximately when she will have her puppies.
