I left my puppy at a relative's house to play with their dogs while I was away. When I came back, I noticed this rough, slightly swollen patch on my dogs armpit. I don't know if it is a swollen lymph node, allergies, or from playing rough with the bigger dogs (all are vaccinated). The patch is stiff and calluse-like in texture, slightly damp. I rinsed it off with clean water. I was afraid to put antibiotic ointment on it because I wasn't if it was yeasty or not or if that would worsen it. Help?

It looks like it could be a skin infection. You can clean the area with an antiseptic wound wash but he may need an antibiotic to help treat the infection. Have him examined by a vet to prescribe medications. You could also try an over the counter spray, like Vetericyn spray and see if that helps.
