How to stop my 6-month beagle from eating floor items and stealing shoes?

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 8 days old

My 6 month old beagle have a bad habit of eating anything lying on the floor and spoils his health. Also he has a habit of picking shoes or carpets and running off.. how do i correct his behaviour

It would be helpful to teach a command like 'drop' or 'leave it' so you can tell him to drop the shoes when he picks them up. To do this you should give him a toy, then offer a treat and say the command when he drops the toy. It is also very important to make sure you keep harmful things out of his reach as much as possible.
