It will take the body's immune system approximately two weeks to make enough antibodies to the viral or bacterial agens that is vaccinated. The first vaccination will activate the general immune system. The second vaccination (or third one if vaccinations were started at 6-8 weeks) will entice the body to make specific antibodies and the third (or fourth) vaccination will stimulate the immune system to make many antibodies to the various diseases vaccinated against.
