Anxious cat not eating/drinking 6 days, peeing inappropriately. Help!

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 50 lbs

I’m babysitting my sisters cat and he has high anxiety. He is peeing on himself and the floor under the couch. He hasn’t came out unless we picked him up and put him in the litter box. He hasn’t or drank anything in 6 days.

This is very concerning and an emergency now. Not eating and drinking for 6 days is life threatening in a cat and you need to take him to a veterinarian or Pet ER right now or he will die. This causes serious liver disease. Plus he is likely dehydrated by now as well. Please take him to a vet now.
