Is it normal for my pet to be slower and sleep more in winter?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | neutered | 3 years and 10 months old

Where I live the winter and colder months have come. Peter has always been energetic. Is it normal for flopsy to move a bit slower and sleep more? flopsy still eats all his food and all his water.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While not necessarily normal, this can certainly be seen during the winter months. If she is otherwise fine, I would not be too concerned about this. However, if she develops any other symptoms like decreased appetite or vomiting, have her evaluated then. Good luck!
