My dogs are shivering, drooling, and twitching. Are they poisoned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 40 lbs

My two dogs are shivering like they're cold. One of them Is drooling bad, forcing herself to keep her eyes open. The other one is laying down doing nothing but occasionally twitching her leg. Any possibilities of what is going on with them?

These are concerning signs of a possible intoxication. Immediate check up is required to treat the signs and reduce as much as possible absorption. Metaldehyde (used in snail poison) and intoxication from a long list of other substances can cause these signs. I am afraid it is impossible to be more specific than that.
