My dog coughs when excited and has lumps. Should I be worried?

My dog when excited makes a weird cough as if trying to clear her chest this happens quite often which is worrying and also she and my terrier have large lump on there side hers is like stones behind tit and his is a inflamed ball to his left side please advise me as my dogs mean a lot thank you.
