Hi, my cat has a small sore on her stomach she keeps licking and there is clear liquid coming out. It doesn't seem to be sensitive though she let's us touch it. Do we need to do anything?

Hello, thank you for your question about your cat. The symptoms and lesions that you are describing could be consistent with a cyst that has ruptured. If your cat is otherwise acting normally and doesn't seem sensitive about this lesion I would recommend continuing to monitor for resolution. It would be best if you could prevent her from licking at the sore as much as possible. If the sore does not heal, develops a colored/pus discharge, or a smell I would recommend having her evaluated by your veterinarian so that they can examine the sore and recommend other testing/treatments if needed. Hope this helps, good luck!
