My female bunnies keep eating my male bunny's ear. Why and what to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 6 days old | 1lb

I have 3 baby bunnies are that 3 months old. 2 girls and 1 boy. The girls keep eating the boys ear. And the tip of the ear is missing. Why did they do that? And what do i do? The boy bunny was separated and is happier then ever. The ear does look like it’s healing

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I agree with you that this looks like it has already healed. This may be a display of dominant behavior though it is hard to know for sure. I think your best option at this point would be to keep them separate. Good luck and have a good night!
