My cat has a lump on his ear. Should I put ice or antibiotic cream?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered

It doesn’t seem to be really hurting him much but I am very concerned since it has it gone down and when I touch it it’s like a little hard but still kind a soft if that makes any sense I just want to know should I put ice on it or antibiotic cream

I'd have Damien seen by a vet for this problem. The lump could be an abscess, or it could be from him scratching his ear a lot, which is a sign of an ear infection. The vet can diagnose what is causing the lump and can treat him for it. Please take him into a vet first thing Monday morning. Best of luck.
