Is it normal fir a mother cat to favor one kitten over the other

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While it is not always seen, this is certainly possible. It is more that they probably perceive that one of the kittens needs more help and attention than the other as opposed to being pure preference. Good luck!
