Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 9 months old | 5.1 lbs
My dog hasn't pooped since yesterday morning till now and has been experiencing loud stomach gurgling. Other than very much lesser poop than normal, and a little diarrhoea before that, she seems normal. what could be the problem?

Hello, thank you for your question about Snowie. The symptoms that you are describing could be signs of GI upset secondary to ingesting foreign material such as leaves, table scraps, or a new dog food. If Snowie is otherwise acting ok you can continue to monitor her and could offer her a bland diet such as boiled chicken/hamburger and white rice. If Snowie’s symptoms due not resolve or she becomes lethargic, inappetance, or starts vomiting I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian. This could be a sign of something more serious such as foreign body obstruction, pancreatitis, etc. Hope this helps, good luck!

Hi! It's possible that Snowie is experiencing some digestive discomfort, acidic stomach or bacterial disturbance. You'll want to keep monitoring her for another event. If the diarrhea does not subside, you'll want to offer her a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Your local Veterinarian can provide you with a probiotic supplement to help increase the good bacteria in the stomach and support digestive health.
