Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 4 lbs
my dog is very protective of my family and I, we recently hired an in-house nanny to help out with the house. I already introduced him (my dog) to her and she fed him his favorite treat and she fed him cheese. My dog cannot seem to open up to her and keeps barking at her and refuses to accept her. it has been two days and he keeps barking at her and tugging her clothes. he is a year and a half old, mini yorkie but he is very calm.what can i do?

I would give it more time. Have her feed him, take him for walks and give all the treats and play with the toys. In addition ignore him when he’s being annoying or aggressive. Increasing his exercise so he’s tired should help, and crating him sometimes for a ‘time out’ should reduce this behavior. It may taken another week or two but I expect him to settle down, Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Paco.
