Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 11 years and 3 months old | 32 lbs
I have a 11yr old pug that has developed a deep dry cough. He has had this is the past and it went away after a couple days. It has been 3-4 days and he doesnt do it all the time through out the day , but when he does it sounds like kennel cough. He doesnt have kennel cough seeing he doesnt leave the house or yard and doesnt interact with other dogs besides the ones in his pack. I know there is a cough medicine for humans that dogs can use for some relief, but I cant recall the type.

I would recommend that you have Buzi examined by a vet. Benign coughs will run their course in a couple days, and only severe coughs usually need treatment. Pugs are prone to respiratory issues, and as they age, they can develop heart or lung disease that can cause a cough. A vet will do a thorough examination and may recommend x-rays to visualize the heart and lungs. Once scary things are ruled out, they can ok cough suppressants or other medications if needed.
