my ferret has lost alot of weight inthe upper half of his body :( what is the best thing to make him gain his weight back and could this be from depression?

Thanks for reaching out about Naag. The best thing to do would be to see a veterinarian to diagnose the cause of weight loss. Dental disease, metabolic concerns (liver or renal function) intestinal problems (bacterial, parasitic) are just a few on the possibilities. Could it also be fur loss that is appearing as muscle or fat loss? Be wary of inducing weight gain, increases of fat should not be the concern. Good luck.

Hi and thank you for your question. Weight loss in a ferret can be caused by many conditions, and in itself is too general a sign to base a diagnosis on. Assuming Loki is regularly dewormed, if this persists he has to see a vet. Likely some tests will be needed to diagnose the problem.
