Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 14.5 lbs

Teddy began having symptoms o a UTI about a month ago. Vet gave him Amoxi & he seemed to quickly recover. About a week ago I had some loud construction done & he was very stressed. The symptoms (constant trips to litterbox producing little & licking of genitals) returned...another bottle of Amoxi & the symptoms began to lessen, but then he drank water for almost 4-5 minutes this afternoon & I've never seen him do that. fearing kidney problems I rushed him to vet. Bloodwork & xrays good...

I would talk to your veterinarian about medication for anxiety for Teddy. Sometimes cats that are very stressed cats can have urination issues and it could all be stress related. Sometimes these cats doing great with medication for a few months to help with anxiety. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
