My cat's flea medicine didn't work. Can I give a second dose?

I gave my 12 lb cat and 14.8lb cat a dose of 7-9lb flea medicine two weeks ago and it didn’t work. Can I give them a second dose of the same size? Pet's info: Cat | American Longhair | Male | neutered | 14.8 lbs

It did not work since you underdosed it significantly, ie you should have applied the respective flea medicine for the weight of your cats. I suggest you get the proper size flea preventive and apply it again now.
