These signs are usually related either to urinary tract infection, or to kidney problem (failure) or to urinary incontinence. A blood test and urine analysis can rule out kidney failure and urinary tract infection. Urinary incontinence usually derived from a weak urinary sphincter (quite common in old age females). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bailey. I would recommend that he sees his veterinarian. It sounds like he has a metabolic problem that is causing him to drink more, urinate more frequently (hence the accidents in the house) and lose weight. He could have diabetes. It best to have a diagnosis before he starts acting ill as it will be less complicated (and less expensive) to treat. I hope this information helps!
