My dog has severe sores, losing weight, can't walk. Is it allergies?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 6 years and 10 months old | 45 lbs

I was just wondering is it possible for my vet to be wrong on what is wrong with my dog he kept telling me skin allergies and that she was allergic to grass even after she could hardly walk or eat she went from 45 pounds down to 30 pounds in a month I have dealt with mange and allergies in the past and never anything like this just wondering if he was wrong or didn’t care the sores on her were on both sides and her chest and belly

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would be very concerned that this is actually a skin cancer. This is something that can be checked by fine needle aspiration or biopsy. Treatment would depend on the findings. A veterinarian could at the very least start Kora on pain control medications as this is likely causing her pain. I am so sorry that she is going through this. I am really hoping they can help her.
