My parrot is sneezing, shedding feathers, and has mucus. What's wrong?

I have an Indian Ring Neck parrot and this morning I noticed that he was sneezing more than he normally does. Rather than just sneezing, mucus is also coming out and lately he has been shedding many feathers. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for reaching out about Jojo. Yes, you should be slightly concerned. Mucoid nasal discharge if typically an indication of an infectious or inflammatory process, probably in the upper respiratory tract. Exposure to the steamy, warm bathroom can help soften discharged and allowing expectoration, but a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.
