My dog was attacked and is now growling at me. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered

My dog was attacked yesterday the other dog was quite vicious and locked his jaw on my dog there are no puncture wounds but obviously very sore. My dog now won't let me near him. He's growling and snarling at me and keeps rocking his head around. What can I do

I would take him to your veterinarian asap as pain relief medication are required and make sure there are no penetrating wounds (sometimes they can be quite subtle). Other injuries a part from muscles and soft tissue ones need to be diagnosed or ruled out.
