My chihuahua's penis is bleeding after a fight. Can it heal?

My chihuahua and pug got into a fight. I broke it up quickly, but it looks like my chihuahua has a puncture in his penile sheath. His urine is clear, but 3 times today pure red blood has come out of his penis. Since his urine is clear, will this heal on its own? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 5 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This does not necessarily mean that he will get better. Bite wounds are serious because these can easily result in more trauma than what seems apparent and also in an infection. If there was evidence of blood before, I am concerned that there could have been significant trauma. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck!
