Is my baby rat dead? How to confirm if it's sleeping or passed away?

The baby has passed away, at least I think she has.. Is there any ways to determine the death of the baby rat? Or is she sleeping. Pet's info: Small Animal | Rat | Female | unspayed

Watch the chest of the baby rat carefully to see if you can see it rise and fall, which means the animal is breathing. You can feel it, if the animal is alive, it should feel warm. You can also press a finger on its chest on the left side to see if you can feel a heartbeat. Best of luck.
