Why is my Quaker parrot sleeping, picky, cranky, and throwing up?

my quaker parrot sleeps a lot and is an extremely picky eater. She constantly insists on being mouth fed and has a strange liking for hot food. she prefers to sleep almost the entire day snuggled next to us and is recently being cranky and more ready to bite than usual. we have also caught her vomiting a few times but these incidents are usually spaced months or weeks apart and sometimes only when she has consumed a specific food such as almonds. not sure about her age but she seems young. It sounds like an exam is in order for Cookie just to rule out issues such as a GI problem, infection, parasites, etc that could be making her feel unwell and thus become moody or picky about eating. Constantly offering a balanced diet for her is best, to ensure sure gets the right nutrition. It's not a good idea to let her binge on one type of food or only one type of snack as that isn't balanced or healthy and could be part of the reason why she isn't doing well. Ruling out issues with your vet, and starting her on a complete balanced diet is a good first step.
